Don’t ride a motorcycle? No worries! You may not be able to ride, but you can make this event a success by volunteering!
Your valuable time will be well spent making sure our riders are kept safe and on course. Not only will you feel good knowing you helped patients and caregivers in their time of need, you’ll receive a free t-shirt! Check out the opportunities below!
As our riders weave through the beautiful landscapes of Erie, Cattaraugus, and Chautauqua counties, you will guide them along their journey by pointing the way at different turns along the route. You’ll be assigned to a point along the route for a designated period of time, guide the riders by flagging a turn, and wait for the last rider to pass. That’s it! Simple, but invaluable to this event’s success. And don’t worry, we’ll have safety vests to make sure you stay safe as you guide the Ride.
Meet us at 7:30 a.m. to help our riders get ready for the day ahead! You’ll help with registration, distribute t-shirts and other assets to pre-registered riders, sell tickets, t-shirts and other assets, and help us send our riders off in style. So, if you're an early riser and want to be part of the beginning of this new event, please sign up!
As a Stop Support volunteer, you'll hand out water and snacks, lead riders to the facilities, and ask our riders trivia questions to help them win at our raffle! If you live far from Buffalo, this is the perfect opportunity for you! We'll need volunteers in Springville, Jamestown, and Gowanda at different times throughout the day for 2-hour shifts starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m.
Come to the Erie County Fairgrounds at 2:30 p.m. to help us set up! Then, you'll help with the raffles, 50/50, welcoming riders, checking in guests at the picnic registration table, and assisting in other areas where needed. After the conclusion, you'll spend a short amount of time helping us cleanup and close our first annual Ride with Grace!

Why a Motorcycle cruise?
The journey to create Grace House began in 2013 because of a motorcycle crash. A local WNY family got the call that their son, Gunnery SGT David Celej USMC, retired, was in grave condition after being in a motorcycle crash in Asheville, NC. The driver who turned his truck into David’s path never even saw him. The family rushed to be by David’s bedside.
Nothing could prepare the Celej family for that medical journey – or the loving kindness of strangers that waited for them at a guest house close to David’s trauma hospital. There they were cared for: sheltered, fed, and transported to the hospital every day, allowing them to focus on what was important day by day.
The family’s journey was shared with Grace’s founder and inspired her to create something similar here in our community, now known as Grace House.
David Celej survived his motorcycle crash, but it’s not so for too many others. That is why Grace House is hosting the first Ride with Grace motorcycle safety and awareness cruise.
Your participation not only supports patients and caregivers in need, but you’ll also be part of a group spreading motorcycle awareness across Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties. Don’t miss your chance to Ride with Grace!
